The Lunch Lady

Inspired by the TV show “No Reservations” hosted by Anthony Bourdain.
The Lunch Lady is one of the famous Vietnamese street food stalls in Saigon, a restaurant Anthony Bourdain visited and greatly enjoyed. We were excited to get a taste of this legendary street food stall. The place serves different Vietnamese noodle dish each day of the week.

The bowl of noodles came with a generous amount of meat, shrimps, and abundance of side vegetables. The soup was slightly spicy which is perfect to our liking and a bit sweet and sour. The spring rolls were great served with sweet peanut sauce.
The continual breeze from the surrounding big trees makes us forget the chaotic traffic in Saigon. It was indeed one of the best experiences and would love to come back again.
